McKinley milestones

Now that May has arrived, I was looking back at the month of April in her "First Year" calendar, where I meticulously record everything, and realized she is on the verge of mastering some new tricks.  She recently discovered her legs, and while she was laying on her back she grabbed one of them.  It only happened once, but I imagine it's only a matter of time before she starts putting her feet into her mouth. She started smiling before she was a month old, and now she's learning to laugh.  It's usually a high-pitched squeal that occasionally resembles a  quick cough.  She is also quite a chatterbox!  Her babbles are the sweetest sounds.  She'll even begin talking as I read her books, like she's reading along with me.  Around two months, she discovered her hands and has yet to find them boring. She is constantly sucking her thumb, one finger, two finger, all four fingers, one fist or both fists.  As a result we're experiencing a major increase in drool! She especially enjoys putting anything in her mouth that she can grab a hold of, such as her books, Taggies doll, Mortimer the Moose, her bib, and Mommy's hands too.  She has very strong legs, like her Daddy, and can already support her own weight while standing. Her are some pictures of her tummy time and sitting up with minimal help from Dad.  Enjoy!

Oopsy daisies!

That's better!

My neck is getting strong!

Whatcha looking at?
