Hiatus

My camera and I were recently reunited after a minor stint in the repair shop.  Thank goodness she's back in working order because these girls are constantly making me laugh and melting my heart.

Momma tore a nasty hole in her hand after some C2B at CrossFit this week.  Hopefully it'll be healed enough to perform 14.5 on Sunday.

This and That

Just a random assortment of pictures from the past month.  The two photos that sum up the kind of month we've been having are the ones of Piper passed out on the floor….Ben and I are so sleep-deprived that the top of the stairs seems like a pretty reasonable place to catch up on some zzzz's.

McKinley is always pretending she's Doc McStuffins.

The girls picked out their own sweet treats on our Valentines Day date to Rose's Bakery.

A selfie with my tiny t-bird.

Her expression cracks me up!  I also adore this rainbow sweater, which use to be McKinley's.

Jelly face!

That frown is too cute!

Piper was supposed to be in her bedroom for quiet/nap time.  Though she rarely takes naps anymore.

When she tries to sneak out of her room, she usually comes downstairs.  I guess she didn't have the energy to get that far.

Tessa is already entranced by Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Aunties are the best!

Last week we had a special visitor: my Auntie Kathy from Alaska.  The girls had the best time with her.  Game after game, book after book, toy after toy, McKinley & Piper kept her completely occupied that it was difficult to get a word in edgewise.  Infact, we finally got to catch up after the girls went to bed.

We hope to see you again soon!

Three months with Tessa

In Tessa's third month, three new developments were the most significant.  By eleven weeks she began sleeping consistently through the night. Hallelujah!  I moved out of her room and finally into my own bed.  She's in her crib by 7:45 pm, and then I wake her up around 9:00 pm for her last feeding and diaper change.  Most mornings I wake her up no later than 6:45 am just to keep her on schedule.  Secondly, she began drooling.  I don't know if she's teething or if its because she constantly has her mouth slightly open with her tongue poking out, but she drools like a puppy. I think you can catch a glimpse of her slobbering in a couple pictures below.  And lastly, she loves to be upright, supporting her weight with her little legs locked-out.  Also, this month she began to be less interested in feeding and more interested in flirting with me.  This I love! I used to get stressed out when McKinley & Piper would do the same thing because it didn't seem like they were eating enough. But now, I soak it all in, and if feedings get a little too drawn out, oh well.  She also likes her fists, frequently sucking on them and has had some major blow-outs.  As for firsts, she met her Uncle Ryan, Aunt Shannon, Leyton & Ellis for the first time, and went to church for the first time.  Dadda calls her Bess, I refer to her as Little Miss, Little Minx or T-bird, and her big sisters love to call her Tee-tee.  It's kinda funny how nicknames originate from nothing.  A note about her outfit: This was the first thing I purchased after finding out we were having a girl. I loved its neon colors.

One of my faves!
