Leveling Up

Due to COVID 19 the girls' 2020-21 gymnastics competition season was canceled.   However, their coach had already been making preparations for the girls in levels 4 & 5 to compete their routines in front of a judge in hopes that they would receive a score good enough to "level up".  This was amazing news for McKinley and Piper, but for Tessa (level 3), it meant that she wouldn't compete her routines this year.  The in-house meet was April 24, and Benji accompanied them as only one parent could attend due to COVID restrictions.  The girls had a fantastic meet, and easily exceeded the all-around, qualifying score of 34 points to move up to the next level.  Piper scored a 35.6 all-around with her highest, individual event being beam (9.55).  McKinley scored a 34.9 all-around, and her two best individual events were bars (9.5) and floor (9.2).  So proud of my superstars!! Tessa, Landon and I met them in the gym parking lot afterward, and we decided to celebrate with froyo!!
