Family Time : Part 1

We've had a lot of family visit us since the last time I blogged.  The first to arrive were Uncle Travis, Aunt Natalie, Micah & Luke, as well as Ahmma & Dumpa.  We had some really hot temps while they were in town, so we beat the heat with pool parties and slip-n-slide parties.  And one day we decided to stay cool by taking a road trip (in our a/c vehicles) around Mt. Hood.  We began at Bonneville Dam and toured the fish ladder and fish hatchery.  Then it was on to the Gorge White House, where we ate lunch at their amazing food cart and did some wine/cider tasting.  We made a quick pit stop at Packer's for ice cream, then headed to Mt. Hood to walk around.  For dinner we found a shady spot in the parking lot at Timberline Lodge and ate what we had packed in our coolers.  Such a fun day with family!

Micah had broke both of his wrists, so in order to play in the water, he had to wear these rubber gloves.

Seeing Herman the Sturgeon for the first time.

Whoa, that was a cool close up!

Piper's first soda pop at the Gorge White House.

At the Gorge White House there were some beautiful sunflower fields.

We always stop at Packers for cookie samples and ice cream.

On the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail).

Hiking down towards the Lodge to get some dinner.
