Christmas in California (part 1)

We flew out Christmas night after Benji worked a full day.  We'll never do that again. Not the flying on Christmas part, but the flying on a day Dadda also works part.  As a result, I forgot crucial items without Benji's packing QA.  Despite the stressful couple of hours during the girls' nap time where I struggled to pack, clean & organize the house, and find a last-minute neighbor to pick up our mail, our evening flight was surprisingly easy and uneventful.  We finally arrived at Ahmma and Dumpa's house way past the girls' bedtimes, and everyone went to sleep.  The next day, after Dadda's Holiday Bowl luncheon with Dumpa and the boys, we all gathered to open presents. Even Nana came over to join in the fun.

Lizzie, McKinley, Abby & Luke spontaneously pose for pictures (no joke!).

McKinley receives a flower dress from Uncle Travis & Auntie Natalie, and Momma secretly wishes Old Navy made the same thing in her size.

Piper had the best seat in the house, with Nana.

McKinley opens her present from Nana, a floor puzzle, which she now completes three or four times each day.

Piper surveys the damage.
