The remainder of our summer was spent hanging out with friends from our homeschool co-op and picking berries. We visited Koch Family Farm in St. Paul for some strawberry-picking. The girls enthusiastically coordinated matching outfits for our expedition! We gathered with our co-op for several outings. One outing was a trip to Siletz Bay in Lincoln City to discuss one of our books for summer reading: Call it Courage. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand, digging clams and cooling off in the calm waters of the bay. Such a hidden gem and only an hour and a half away from Newberg. After that we met up weekly in Canby at Knights Bridge Park. It was the perfect river hang-out for all ages! The kids swam, tubed down the rapids and soaked up the sunshine. When it wasn't as warm, we met up for walks around Durant Vineyard. Our final gathering was in early fall at Fir Point Farms.
