After three years of matching costumes made by our neighbor, Sophie, this Halloween, each girl had their own idea of who they wanted to be. Piper was very adamant about wanting to be a pilot, and McKinley was desperately wanting to be the trapeze girl from The Greatest Showman. Tessa, on the other hand, was coaxed into being Holly Hobbie. I already had the dress & bonnet saved from my own Holly Hobbie birthday party when I was little, so that was nice! McKinley's costume proved to be a challenge, but after scoring the be-jeweled tank top and tutu at a thrift store, all it took was some hot glue to piece it all together. Landon's costume was my favorite, though. He was Bavarian Boy, and he wore some authentic, leather lederhosen that Nana & Boppy had brought back from Germany for Benji when he was a boy. Amma & Dumpa accompanied us as we took the kids trick-or-treating around our neighborhood.
