Tessa is Five!

This girl! I can't believe she's five!  As soon as November rolled around, she started talking about her birthday, counting down the days.  This year we hosted a joint-gymnastics birthday party for Piper & Tessa through our local parks and rec. They each invited a couple of friends for two hours of gymnastics instruction and cupcakes & ice cream.  Everyone had a blast trying out the balance beam, tumble track, obstacle course and especially the vault!
Her actual birthday wasn't as exciting, but we took her to lunch at Taco Bell for bean burritos, and when Dadda got home from work, he treated her to a smoothie at Chapters.  The best part of her day was definitely during her sister's gymnastics class, where Coach Michelle invited her to participate in the entire class.  She was beaming with joy! After class we celebrated with her pink cake.

Saddle Mountain

While Ahmma & Dumpa were here in October (and babysitting the kiddos while I was at cross country practice), we spent one morning hiking Saddle Mountain.  It was a pretty monumentous occasion, as Tessa hiked the entire trail herself, and I carried Bubba in the backpack for the first time.  What a clear and beautiful day we had with unobstructed views of the coast!  Landon did amazing, and even took a nap in the pack during the hike down.

Pumpkin Patches

Since Fall isn't officially over yet, it's not too late to share our pumpkin patch pictures, right?  We visited Bauman's Family Farm in St. Paul with Gramma C. and then Lee's Farm in Tualitin with Ahmma & Dumpa.  During both trips we enjoyed their apple cider doughnuts!

It was a perfect, fall day with my littles and my Mom, while Benji & the big girls went hiking.

Those lazy goats wouldn't let us feed them!
