McKinley's Baptism

McKinley, with all the faith and knowledge of grace to the best of her seven-year-old ability, became a Christ-follower towards then end of her school year.  And after witnessing some of her friends from sunday school and small group getting baptized and talk about their baptisms, she wanted to get baptized too.  The perfect opportunity presented itself during Ahmma & Dumpa's visit.   So we scheduled it for July 23, 2017, and McKinley, a little apprehensive about being in front of the entire church, begged for her Dadda to join her on stage. We thought Benji would just participate by dunking her in the water, but ultimately he ended up performing the entire baptism.  It was short and sweet and beyond special.  One woman in the balcony, during one of Benji's questions, shouted "You go girl! "Our neighbors, the Stokes, added to the specialness of the day by coming to watch.  And with Ahmma & Dumpa in attendance, it was surely a day McKinley will never forget!
