The girls placed 2nd at Districts, which qualified them for the State meet.
They couldn't wait to meet Piper.

The Girls
We went to Newberg High School to say goodbye to "the girls." Three of them are graduating tomorrow. Their freshman year was also my first year coaching cross country. I still remember my very first summer practice, climbing up the stairs to the bleachers where they were sitting. They have blossomed into beautiful, intelligent, young women. Since McKinley was born, they have always taken an interest in her and have gone out of their way to play with her during practices and meets. They will be missed.
