Tulip Fest

It has been four years since we visited the tulip fields at Wooden Shoe Farm.  It was a fun, little outing for our family, and everyone else's family in Oregon! I think we spent more time in our vehicle slowly entering and exiting the farm due to the high volume of people getting outside on our first warm & sunny day.  The fields of tulips were breathtaking!  Though, note to self: next year we're coming back during the middle of the week, no matter what the weather is.

We celebrated our first Easter as a family of six.  We told the Easter story using Resurrection Eggs on Good Friday and then rejoiced on Sunday morning that we serve a risen Savior.  The girls, including Tessa, sang two songs on Palm Sunday: Your Name and How Majestic is Your Name.  Infact, Piper & McKinley were chosen to sing in a trio with McKinley's friend, Sela, during one of the songs.  Benji and I were so proud of them!  They worked so hard practicing their lyrics and choreography.  On Easter Sunday, Landon sported his first suit and tie.  He looked so dapper!  After church the rain held out in order for the girls to do an egg hunt in our backyard. 

Catching Up

Gosh, another month and a half has passed since my last blog post.  Winter has come and gone.  Gramma & Grampa have come and gone.  Easter has come and gone.  The CrossFit Open has come and gone.  Landon's half birthday has come and gone.  And now we're on the verge of wrapping up our homeschool curriculums.

I never missed an opportunity to throw Bubba in his snowsuit in order to capture some pictures of my crew in the snow!

I love how Piper is holding Landon's hand as she waits patiently for her turn to hold him.

McKinley is wearing one of my childhood dresses.  I distinctly remember wearing this dress when I was in third grade, singing "I love to go a wandering..." with Drew Byrne in our school's talent show.

Piper made a volcano out of modeling clay when we were studying the letter "V" as part of the MFW Kindergarten curriculum. 

These "Crown Jewels" were made when we were working on the letter "J."

Although he appears happy, he seldom enjoys his tummy time.

He does, however, love his Sophie the Giraffe toy!

Grampa meets his only grandson for the first time, when him and Gramma come out for a quick visit.
