5 Months
For her monthly weigh-in she tipped the scales at 14 lbs, 4 oz. Even as I compose this post, I'm amazed how quickly five months have come and gone. Oh, how I wish time would slow down or for there to be more than twenty four hours in a day! However, I'm so thankful my husband's job allows me the opportunity to stay at home with my precious daughter. Here are a few shots from our photo shoot.

McKinley's first meal
My baby girl is no longer a baby that nurses exclusively....she's a baby that sits in her booster chair while eating rice cereal for breakfast and lunch. Although our pediatrician gave us the green light to begin solid foods at four months, I was certain we would hold out until her sixth month....only because we could. But she quickly became very fixated on our food while we would eat, so we decided to celebrate her turning five months old by feeding her some real food. Enjoy the before/after shots and video!

June Gloom
It's been a cool and wet beginning to summer. We've had a few nice days above 70 degrees. On those days McKinley and I went to the park or lounged on our patio deck.
Goofin' around with Mama on the playmat.
She loves to eat her blue bird's feet.
First stroller rider without her carseat.
Chillin' at the park behind our house.
Thank you Grampa & Gramma C. for my new summer duds!
I love my pretty flower hat!
My first pair of overalls!
Muy bonita!
My Grandpa is the best!
Still bald....but beautiful!

First date
Yesterday I practiced with the worship team at the house, which meant that Benji took McKinley on her first "daddy date." Of course I had to take before and after "date" pictures! On the agenda: Newberg Public Library and Ray's Produce stand.
BEFORE
AFTER
Daddy checked out two books: Baby Animals and Big Storm (big surprise!)
The hairy white sphere is a coconut that Daddy just had to purchase at Ray's.
