Christmas in California

It's been a bit difficult to re-acclimate to our life here in Oregon after our relaxing Christmas vacation in California.  We had an amazing time hanging out with family and enjoying the sunny weather.  Some of the highlights included our overnighter at Ahmma & Dumpa's Lake Cuyamaca cabin, visiting Nana at her St. Miguel digs, going to the world famous San Diego Zoo, taking an after-Christmas hike with the family, and our four trips to In-and-Out.

The girls couldn't wait to introduce Tessa to the chickens.

Going for a walk around Ahmma & Dumpa's cabin.

Merry Christmas to All

Our epic Christmas Eve in sunny Cali began with a hike, continued with lunch at In-and-Out, and ended with a beautiful candlelight service at Shadow Mountain.  Here's wishing all of our family and friends a very Merry Christmas!

What Up With That

Just a random collection of photos from the past month.

Our first visible, freezing temperatures, and our blueberry bushes were covered in icicles.

Gramma & Grammpa C. gave this adorable Little Mermaid dress to Tessa soon after she was born.  It's taken me a year to finally take some pictures of her in it.  The mermaid tail in the back is to die for.

Piper's first dentist appointment.  After turning three, we finally scheduled her first cleaning.  She was super excited for the bubble gum fluoride and the opportunity to watch tv while reclining in the chair wearing sunglasses.

We went to Champoeg Park after nap time one day so the girls could ride their bikes.  Piper has been working on her training-wheels bike.

While my parents were in town, my dad took some family pictures for our Christmas card.  These are the shots that didn't make the cut.

On our Anniversary I told McKinley and Piper about our wedding, showed them our wedding album, and thought it would be fun to let them wear my veil & Dadda's tie for a quick photo shoot.

This was the most intense rainbow I have ever seen.   The colors were so saturated.  It actually became a double rainbow for a bit.
