The Best Memorial Weekend Ever

We were elated to have Uncle Ryan visit us this weekend.  The girls loved dancing with him and teaching him how to play the Princess Game. Tess loved snuggle-buggin' with him, and I loved schooling him in the game of corn hole.

Tess enjoys some applesauce.

Thanks again for coming to see us.  We love you!

The Best Mother's Day Ever

My Mom and my Grandma B. flew into town last week.  And we were together for Mother's Day ~ four generations of women (Seman, Boutilier, Campoamor & Howard).  So cool and so special! We even had some professional pictures taken by John Macy of Photomacy.  Can't wait to see the images!  Here are some pictures of our time together.

Mother's Day breakfast: blueberry-buttermilk pancakes, turkey bacon & mimosas.

Pics after church.

Gramma and McKinley play red light, green light.

Four generations.

Playing with Sophie on their dirt castle.

Thank you Gramma for our awesome butterfly wings and headbands!

Thank you Shelia for our matching, triple-twinkies tank tops!

Tessa's first taste of solid food: guacamole.

Thank you Gramma for our new nightgowns!

Five Months with Tessa

I can't believe Tessa is less than a month away from her half birthday. It truly doesn't feel like five months have passed since she was born. Nothing significantly new to share.  I keep checking for teeth, but none as of yet. She has gotten more comfortable being on her tummy and likes to play with toys in reach. She developed a yeast infection underneath her neck, which spread to her upper chest and back, but after her pediatrician prescribed some topical cream, it cleared up within a week.  She nurses six times a day with her first feeding anywhere between 6 and 7 am.  We recently moved up her last feeding to 8:15-8:30 pm, instead of putting her down at 8 & waking her up at 9 to nurse, which gives her four naps throughout the day. I can't wait to start giving her solid foods. Infact, we're waiting for my mother to get into town before the inaugural feeding. I'm thinking bananas or avocados. She wears size 2 diapers, 3-6 month clothing, and tipped the scales at 14 pounds, 10 ounces.
