Grill Cheese Sandwiches & Waterfalls

We finally ventured to Portland to eat at the Grilled Cheese Grill.  I think I just found my new, favorite restaurant! You order your food from an Airstream and eat it on a double decker bus. Plus, they have every kind of grilled cheese combination you can think of and their tomato soup is out of this world!
After lunch we drove to the Gorge to do some hiking.  We started at Horsetail falls and ended at Oneonta Falls.  McKinley hiked the first mile all by herself, and Piper did amazing in the backpack.

Spring Break

Spring break brings pink cherry blossoms, sunny days at the park, a break from tutoring, and Ahmma & Dumpa.  We love spring break!

McKinley's pearly-whites

We finally scheduled McKinley's first dentist appointment.  Even though her pediatrician first inquired whether or not she had seen the dentist at her two-year well check, I'm glad we waited.  It was such a positive experience, which took me by surprise.  A couple days prior, it's all she could talk about.  She was so excited!  But what I didn't expect was that her excitement never wavered.  I was for certain she'd hesitate once she got in the chair.  Rochelle, our dental hygienist, was completely amazing with her.  And I'm sure the television playing cartoons played a small part too. But overall, she did very well following directions and never got scared.

Rochelle begins by letting McKinley pick out a new toothbrush.

She chose a red, Eeyore toothbrush.

Having a television playing MickeyMouse Clubhouse certainly helped distract her.

Time to put on the safety glasses.

McKinley wanted rubber gloves, just like Rochelle.

Getting x-rays.

She also wanted a face mask, just like Doc McStuffins.

Too cute!

McKinley proudly shows me her swag bag from the dentist.

Favorite Matching Tunics

The girls love coming to this park. And by girls, I mean McKinley.  It's the park across the street from the library.  A couple of weeks ago we had a break in the rain and cold weather, so I thought I would seize the opportunity to capture the girls outside in their matching, OshKosh shirts before they completely outgrow them.  I love these shirts.  They give off a sailor vibe, maybe that's why.  I didn't quite get the shot I wanted, so a do-over is probably in the works. But regardless, I love the candidness (is that a word?) of the pictures below.

The Vault

It's getting harder to consistently blog these days, especially since it takes me double the amount of time it use to, considering I have to upload all my pictures to Photobucket first.  I thought blogging once a week was a reasonable goal, but now I'm happy if I get something posted once every 2-3 weeks.  Anyways, I'm still snapping a million pictures, so here are some from the last couple of months.

Clearly, I'm obsessed with the girls wearing their tutus.

Another pair of dresses from Momma's childhood.

Our last trip to Mt. Hood for the winter.  The conditions were so un-kid-friendly that we were outside for maybe 10 minutes before getting back in the car and driving home.
